Daniel Hammett featured the Pickwick Hotel in the classic mystery novel "The Maltese Falcon." The property offers a unique experience blending the very best of old-world elegance with today’s modern amenities.

One block from the Pickwick is the famed San Francisco Cable Car turnaround at the end of Powell St at Market. The Powell-Hyde line will take you through to Chinatown, the Cable Car Museum, past famed Lombard Street northbound to the waterfront, with Fisherman's Wharf to the east and Ghirardelli Square to the west.

Golden Gate Theatre, located just two blocks east of the hotel, is a 2300 seat Beaux Arts Style theatre built in 1922 for the Orpheum circuit.
